A Young Boy from a Poor Background now a Celeb in Town

                                          JEMO ( C.E.O Jemoz Promotionz & Eventz)

Do you want to know how a young man from a poor background breaks through and now is the talk of the day in the region and the Northern part of Uganda in the Entertainment industry? Read through and learn a lot.

The music in Karamoja region has been a stumble for the last 10 years since the industry emerged in the region while growing up in a suburb of the current Napak district which was under the well known Moroto district which has been referred to as the Marble City now days though not fully operational as a city. As a young Karimojong boy growing up in the village and coming to town while pursuing my education, I came to be a friend to one of the way back gifted young men who was a radio broadcaster on 94.7 All Karamoja FM which was the only radio station in the region.

The young gifted man by the name of Godfrey Angella well known as Mzee G which name referred to him as a very old man according to the local language made him so popular that he could always be wanted by every person just to see. I became friendly to him who later introduced me to radio work while in high school and later after my tertiary level, I was recruited to volunteer in the prominent 90.0 UBC Totore FM a government radio in Karamoja where I started hosting Disco jokers (DJs) in my show named "Dance Night"  which made me popular and I started using a name "Jemo" which was given to me by one of my friends in my high school called Jimmy Jamada Nangiro.

After 6 months, a new radio station by the name "88.7 Ateker Moroto FM" where I became so popular as I started promoting the music of every artist in the region, and all gave me the due respect I deserved, artists sang my name every place I went and this encouraged me to start a promotion company called   "Jemoz Promotionz & Eventz" just this year after lockdown and I have done tremendous work in the region amidst the insecurity in the region which has led to the loss of lives, livestock leading to high rates of hunger in the region.

What does it take to make it in life looking at the young man's life?
